What we collect

Calculator inputs: We do not store or transmit the data you enter into calculators. Draw length, arrow spine, draw weight, FOC measurements, bow specifications, and all other inputs are used only to compute results locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.

Personal information: We do not ask you to create an account and do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address. The site works completely anonymously.

Example: When you enter "29 inches draw length" and "60 lbs draw weight" into the Arrow Spine Calculator, those numbers are processed by JavaScript running in your browser. The calculation result is displayed instantly. We never see your inputs, we don't record them on a server, and they disappear when you close the page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly configuration to understand general traffic patterns (for example, which calculators are used most often, which pages receive the most visits, and general geographic regions of our visitors).

We do not use:

Advertising cookies or tracking pixels
Personalized advertising or remarketing
Cross-site tracking or user fingerprinting
IP address logging (addresses are anonymized)
User-level tracking or individual user profiles

Our analytics settings are configured to:

Disable ad storage and personalization
Anonymize IP addresses
Disable Google Signals
Disable client-side cookie storage
Deny all advertising and user data consent by default

What we learn from analytics: Aggregate data only. Examples: "5,000 people used the Arrow Spine Calculator this month," "The Compound Bow Specs Chart is our most popular page," or "40% of visitors are from mobile devices." We never see individual user sessions or personally identifiable behavior.

Note: While we minimize data collection through privacy-friendly configuration, Google Analytics is a third-party service. We cannot guarantee zero data collection in every context. For maximum privacy, you can block Google Analytics using browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.

Cookies

Archery Calculators does not use cookie banners or consent popups because the site is configured to avoid storing analytics cookies by default (Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode).

What this means: When you visit our site, your browser does not receive persistent cookies that track you across sessions or websites. Each visit is treated independently with no long-term tracking.

Affiliate links are clearly marked (typically with "→" arrows or "Shop at [Retailer]" text) and include standard tracking parameters that allow the retailer to credit us for the referral. For example, Amazon links include tag=archerycalculators-20 in the URL.

Your privacy with affiliates: When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and are subject to the third-party retailer's privacy policy. We do not have access to your purchase information or personal data from affiliate transactions. The retailer knows you came from our site but shares no personally identifiable information with us.

No influence on calculations: Affiliate relationships do not affect our calculator results. Arrow spine recommendations come from manufacturers' published spine charts, not from what products earn commissions. We recommend the correct specifications for your setup, and where you choose to buy is entirely up to you.

Pages may link to external websites for additional information, manufacturer specifications, product recommendations, or reference materials (such as AMO standards, bow manufacturer websites, or archery organization resources).

Parents and guardians: Our calculators (especially the Youth Bow Calculator) are designed to help young archers choose appropriate equipment. All calculations run locally with no data collection. International visitors

Archery Calculators is operated from the United States but accessible worldwide. We do not discriminate based on geographic location or intentionally collect data differently based on where you're located.

GDPR (European visitors): Our privacy-first approach aligns with GDPR principles. We don't collect personal data, we minimize analytics collection, we obtain no consent because there's nothing to consent to. Your calculator inputs never leave your device.

CCPA (California visitors): We do not sell personal information because we don't collect personal information. California residents have the same privacy protections as all other visitors.
