What we can't help with

Technical archery advice: We build calculators, but we're not certified coaches or pro shop technicians. For personalized equipment recommendations, form analysis, or bow tuning help, please consult a certified archery pro shop or coach in your area. They can see your setup, watch you shoot, and provide hands-on guidance we can't offer remotely.

Specific product recommendations: "Should I buy the Mathews V3X or Hoyt RX-9?" – We can't make specific buying decisions for you. Check our Compound Bow Specs Chart to compare specifications, use our calculators to know your setup requirements, then visit a pro shop to test bows in person. Only you can decide what feels right.

Hunting regulations and licensing: We can help you calculate whether your setup has sufficient kinetic energy for elk or deer, but we can't advise on specific state hunting regulations, licensing requirements, or legal questions. Contact your state's fish and wildlife department for authoritative information.

For these topics, our calculators and guides provide the numbers and general information. The specific application to your situation requires professional consultation or official resources.

Response times and expectations

Bug reports: We investigate and fix critical calculation errors within 24-48 hours. Non-critical issues (typos, minor formatting) may take 3-7 days depending on our update schedule.

Feature requests: We evaluate all suggestions but can't implement everything. Calculator requests that benefit many archers are prioritized. We may or may not respond directly to every feature request, but all are read and considered.

General questions: We try to respond within 2-3 business days. Complex questions may take longer. If your question is answered on our About or Privacy pages, we may direct you there rather than repeat the information.

Note: Archery Calculators is a small team. During hunting season (fall) and major updates, response times may be longer. We appreciate your patience.
